stunning intricately detailed okimono of male figure with wheat sheath & tools . possibly late edo period ( 1603-1868 ) or early Meiji period ( 1868-1912) beautiful smooth & loved age patina . very heavy for its diminutive size, weight 356g ! 62mm tall & 70mm at its widest point . could have been used for scroll weighting or Purley decorative art . some colour loss consummate with age , but overall in fantastic condition . these okimono figures were produced by fine sword craftsman during the transition of the samurai warrior class . please see all pictures as they form part of the description.
