This is for a beautiful antique Black Forest work box from the mid 1800s. The wooden lid has two Grouse fabulously hand carved on top with excellent detailing. The sides of the box have rows of entwined Sycamore leaves and the inside is lined in pale blue silk. Its a super looking box, it has a wonderful rich aged waxy patina to it that makes it look really warm. It is in excellent condition too with no cracks in the wood, its survived really well, the inside silk is worn as shown and may benefit from being replaced if you were going to use it, but overall its in very good order and as you can see it displays beautifully. the key is missing so the lock is untested. The base measures 235mm (9.25") by 225mm (9") and it stands 200mm (7.5") tall. WOODEN
