The sender, Arthur, and addressee seem to have romantically involved! The sender was a soldier stationed at The Presidio who was complaining that he was tired of guarding prisoners! As for the green, 1-C., U.S., booklet pane issue, it's in fine-very fine condition! Simply put, this is one neat piece of American military postal history connected a soldier stationed at The Presidio, in San Fran, and his sweetheart in San Jose, California!
