SCARCE POST WWII OFFICER'S CAP BADGE OF THE DORSET REGIMENT. An extremely high quality and heavily cast, two-piece Silver/Gilt badge measuring 44mm x 42mm with a gilt brass slider to the back (K & K 2000). In excellent used condition as images having light wear to the highlights and retaining all of its original gilding. This "DORSET" design was a very short-lived badge. Entering use in late 1956, and only being worn until 1958, on the amalgamation with the Devonshire Regiment. This scarce Officers version rarely turns up for sale.
